Fall is finally here. I can really feel it now. The temperature has dropped and I have been raiding my closet for something a bit warmer to wear. We are finally out of that "is it summer or is it fall and can I still wear white?" mode. I LOVE IT!!! Fall is all about texture; rich colors, leather, suede, knits, and plaids.
This season you are going to find bohemian inspired trends puking all over stores everywhere. I think it might have something to do with the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, but I don't know? Moccasins (slippers and boots with fringe) are really making a statement. I know, because I live in Indiana now, which actually might mean that moccasins are really out now? Anyway, it's what you love that counts. Bohemian headbands are popular too. I haven't actually seen many brave souls sporting them here, so if you want to be a trendsetter in the midwest bohemian headbands are the way to go. Just look at the picture of Nicole Richie above! Don't forget the shootie. I learned that word when I went to Baker's the other day. It's not a boot or a shoe, it's a shootie! These are the shoes that look like short boots with toes. I love them. They punch up any dress, skinny jean, or tights. For a fresh look pair them with knee high decorative socks.
